Question by GracePoole: Can Cipro be used for a tooth infection?
I won’t be back home and able to see my dentist for several days but I do have a prescription for Cipro with me. Will it help with an abscessed/infected tooth in the meantime?

drugs of choice would be amoxicillin, metronidazole or clindamycin. according to the literature,
cipro is not effective against strep viridans or bacteroides which are commonly found in the mouth.
i hope it works.
